Oggi parliamo di un piccolo borgo pugliese. A metà strada tra Adriatico e Jonio, in una pianura circondata da piccole alture, si affaccia Locorotondo. Sorge linda e silente sulla sommità di un colle che cinge gli ultimi contrafforti murgiani del Barese.

Armoniosamente tondeggiante come il toponimo stesso suggerisce, Locorotondo deve il suo nome alla morfologia assunta dal primo centro abitato, sorto attorno al mille.

Today we're talking about a small village in Apulia (Puglia). Halfway between the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, in a plain surrounded by small hills, Locorotondo overlooks. It stands beautiful and silent on the top of a hill that encircles the last foothills of the Murgia region near Bari.

Harmoniously rounded as the name itself suggests, Locorotondo owes its name to the morphology adopted by the first inhabited center, which arose around the year one thousand.
